Joseph asks…

Are student credit cards available to nontraditional college students?

What are the requirements to qualify for a student credit card? Are there age limits? Specific school requirements? ETC

admin answers:

Actually no limits except that you must be a full-time student and be over 18 years old.
As for the credit score, students credit cards may be given to those who have no credit at all.
Try your luck to find the best for your needs.

Laura asks…

What is the best credit card for college students?

Can anyone tell me what the best college student credit card is? What’s usually the credit card limit for students? I’m planning to get it just in case I need it when I go to South Korea this summer.

admin answers:

HSBC has a student credit card. Usually the limit is around $500. They take into account that you might not have much of an established credit history. 1-800-975-4722 That’s their number. They are pretty good cards too. Mastercard. Accepted anywhere mastercard is accepted, worldwide too.

Paul asks…

Whats the normal APR rate for College students getting credit cards?

The guy trying to get me to get a k-state credit card said it was 17.1 which is normal is it?

admin answers:

Thats terrible! I had a credit card as soon as I turned 18, and I haven’t missed one payment. I now have 3 credit cards and I am a Sophomore in college.

My American Express for students APR is 14%
My (MasterCard) Citi Platinum Dividend for students is 13%
and my (Visa) Chase BP Gas card is 11%

Credit is a VERY important thing to have, get one for each major branch (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX) and if you are responsible, your credit score will skyrocket and you will be in good shape by graduation, and you will get good rates on loans and other things.
